Byron Bay – Shooting Stars, Sun Rise and Whale Watching
The time was about 2am when we set off. We travel approximately 3 hours non-stop across Queensland to New South Wales and straight towards the eastern most point of mainland Australia, Byron Bay.
The prime location for watching sunrise, star glazing and whale watching. At the darkest hour which came before the dawn, shooting stars showered like meteor rain right before our eyes. Never in our life had we seen something so amazing. There was a particular star which we identify as the UFO, flew like a fly across the galaxy or perhaps it is just our weary eyes playing tricks on us.
The faithful sunrise took the first glimpse out the ocean, slowly rising above the horizon and shining across million acres of land. Soon enough, the warmth of the sun gradually diminishes the chill in the 5 degrees air. Like a fairytale, the whale was spotted when spurting water out from his spout and came splashing out of the waters. The performance was indeed breathtaking.
**Unfortunately we only capture the whale's action on our DVD Cam.
