Day 20 - 16 July 2008

Dream World
Dreamworld is a large theme park situated on the Gold Coast in Queensland. It is currently Australia's largest theme park. It is well known for being the location of the Australian Big Brother House. In addition to Big Brother, Friday Night Games was also filmed at Dreamworld.

Dreamworld also features several restaurants and shopping outlets; a kids area Nick Central, Wiggles World for toddlers and infants; as well as many themed areas such as Tiger Island, The Australian Wildlife Experience and Gold Rush Country. In December 2006, a new waterpark, WhiteWater World, operated by the same company as Dreamworld, opened next door to the park.

An event in which Dreamworld remains open after dark, Screamworld, is held at numerous times over the year where all thrill rides and a selection of children's rides are open outside park hours.

The Giant Drop
Sky Fanatics!
The closeset thing to sky diving!

Take some spare underwear - this is the tallest, free-falling ride in the world, according to the Guinness Book of World records.
The closest thing you will get to actual skydiving - don’t be fooled by the amazing scenery as you are winched slowly to the top. The top floor is the sky and the only way down is a jaw dropping 120 metre plummet at extreme speed. A rush like no other.

The Claw
Looking for a tummy losing, sky high-swing, packed with adrenalin, and a big dose of fear?

Well consider traveling 9 storeys into the air, swinging at up to 75 km/hr! Scared?

Wait! It also spins 360 degrees. Dare yourself. The first of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere, The Claw is the most powerful pendulum on the planet.

Wipeout
Survive the mother of all tidal waves!

Transported to an island of sand, palms, shipwrecks and sharks, the scene is set for the turbulent ride ahead.

The Wipeout spins, twists and tumbles you through a body-wrenching range of dumping breaker waves leaving you helpless - strapped in the middle with no lifeline.

Mick Doohan's Motocoaster
The first Aussie motorbike rollercoaster!

Experience the rush of motorcycle racing! Get behind the handlebars of Dreamworld’s hot new thrill ride! Racing now at Dreamworld!

Mick Doohan’s Motocoaster features a fluid track with changes in elevation and high speed corners, reaching just over 72 km per hour. The riders are held in by a unique restraint system in life-size replicas of 500cc racing bikes. So hold on and experience the next best thing to Moto GP Racing!

Tower of Terror
G-force Time!

Your knuckles turn white, you hold your breath; suddenly, your face moves upward. This is G-force - hold on! The Tower of Terror is one of the fastest rides in the world.

The Tower's electro-magnetically powered 'Escape Pod' accelerates its passengers to a massive 160 kph in seven seconds before it climbs to almost 38 storeys high.

Fear not, after a tummy losing free fall back to earth you will hurtle safely back to the station.

The Washing Machine
Turn up side down with the spinning force!!

Tiger Island
Come and meet all our gorgeous tigers at Dreamworld!

In the specifically designed habitat of Tiger Island, the tigers and their handlers co-exist peacefully without the constraints of cages creating an exciting and unique experience for guests.

Dreamworld’s tigers are trained (never ‘tamed’) by establishing from birth a strong bond, based on trust, respect and affection, between the handlers and tigers. The tigers live in a stress free environment receiving a highly specialised diet, veterinary care and the necessary stimulation from interaction with their handlers.

Australian Wildlife

Dreamworld’s Australian Wildlife Experience is one of the largest native wildlife parks in South East Queensland with more than 800 native animals including the second largest koala population in the world.
